Michelle, one of the tools that I think is useful to use in the classroom is blogs. Blogs provide a forum for discussion that goes beyond the course.
How do you think the class blog has helped us reach out beyond our course? What do you know now that you didn't know before starting your blog and using it in our class?
I hope you have been enjoying your visit with your family! I can't wait to meet them. I would, however, like you to still keep up with your blog. We will not engage our students if we don't get engaged ourselves. You could, for instance, give us some information on your family's visit. Where is their native country, who came, what have you been doing, how are they enjoying their visit, what are the challenges for them, what have they liked the most, etc. I know that I would be interested, and I know that others would be, too!
